What is SaveLoad.org all about?

As you can probably tell it's mostly news clippings from various sites around the web. Of course, the general theme of the website is alternative operating systems. You will also find The OS List and The OS Gallery (screenshots) which are two of the more popular features. A documents section has recently been added that will eventually contain hard to find documents from various operating systems past and present.

Who runs this website? 

This has changed since the site has been sold.

Why do you do all this? 

The honest truth... It's fun. I've always been interested in technology, expecially obscure systems, that most people are unaware of and stray away from the norm. I also do this because it's one more way for alternative OS projects to get out there and attract more users.  

Where did the name come from? 

When I first got my PS2 I bought one of the Burnout games (I think it was Burnout 3) and for some reason a few of my friends and I thought it was funny that it said "Save/Load" on the screen when saving or loading. Being my usual self I said "I'm going to register that domain name", so I registered SaveLoad.org and SaveLoad.net (SaveLoad.com was already taken). I know it's pretty lame but when you're a nerd like me small things can be very amusing. 

How long will this site be around? 

As long as I have the energy and passion for alternative OSs I will keep this project going. Someday if I lose interest or am unable to run it (for whatever reason) I will pass it along to someone who can continue on with it.
